Get up there and do it


This short course teaches basic skills in acting. It’s designed for participants to acquire the confidence necessary to tackle:

 

·         auditions for both stage and TV / film

·         performance in stage and TV / film


·         public speaking

 

The texts that participants will work with include:

·         poems

·         monologues


·         dialogue from plays, and TV / film scripts

This event is deal for lovers of movies to gather over a light meal and refreshments while viewing a feature film on DVD.

A discussion will follow on the good, the bad and the ugly points of what they’re just seen.

·         Is the story compelling, boring or just, so-so?

·         Are the characters memorable or forgettable?

·         Are the actors cast well or badly?
